I talked to Billy last night and there are already 20 people preregistered. Should be a good event. I plan on being there.

There are now 25 players preregistered. So the prize pool has just reached $3000 and that is just the players who have preregistered.

I officially can't wait for this event.

Was at Westgate tonight and several players preregistered. I have heard they are expecting at least 60.

I never murdered you, I tried but you were unmurderable, in the end it was Doug who murdered us both. Smile

(I don't think if I've ever used the word murder so many times in one sentence)

With 60 players there would be $7200 in the prize pool. First place would be around $3,000, second place would be around $2,000 and third place would still be over $1,000.

I busted out of the tourney in 7th (5 paid). I had been on a short stack for most of the final table and got lucky a couple times, finally the luck ran out. Quentin finished in 8th. There were ~40 at the start of the tourney.

Don't think any GRAMPA guys were left, unless Doug V. posts on here.

They ended up chopping it 5 ways for $750 each and then played for the last $450 or so and the title/chip.

Doug V went out in 5th, he was the least excited about a chop but decided to go with what the table wanted. The first hand after the chop he was all in preflop blind versus blind with AK versus QQ and no help.

We decided to go have a drink at the bar and I told Billy to let me know when it was done so I could take the winners picture and give them the chip. One drink later I decided to check on the final table progress, turned the corner and nobody was sitting there anymore.

I was at the bar on the bowling alley side and apparently Billy tried to call me but I get crappy service at Woody's.

Joel Tasman & Steve Gilfillan ended up chopping when it came down the final two. Steve was severely out chipped and took $100 and let Joel have the rest and the win.
