This Saturday is the next event in the Grand Series of Poker: Pot Limit Omaha. Tournament starts at 1pm with late registration until 2pm. Free pizza will be provided for all players at the first break.

For all the details and the full schedule of events go to GSOP.com or GrandRapidsPoker.com

Also just added a new event on 10/24: No Limit Hold'em Shootout where the top 1-2 players at each table advance to the final table.

Looking forward to this one. Thankfully Michigan has a night game. Omaha by day, college football by night. Not too shabby.

Well my bid to repeat as the GSOP Pot limit Omaha event was thwarted and I finished runner-up.

The guy that won it was super cool. He bought everyone at the table a shot when we got down to 6-handed every time someone was eliminated.

Good Job Greg.

Greg played well from what I saw.

Thankfully, given the cash game results, I busted at the final table out of the money (not really impressive given there was only 3 tables).

Good job Greg.

I had horrible cards even for Omaha and couldn't hit any flops. Add that to 2 guys at the table who had no idea how to play Omaha and it made for a lot of fun.

Did bust out early enough to take my kids over the Pumpkin Path @ Lamar Park, so at least they were happy.

Oh and State won and UofM lost so it wasn't that bad a day after all. Very Happy

You are kidding right, that guy walked in like an hour late and didn't even know what was going on, and bought in way late to the tourney. LMAO

Well he did buy in late but he was a regular Omaha player who just didn't know that the GSOP Omaha tournament was that day. I thought he played rather well.

It looked to me like he had a game well suited to short handed play.
