Me, Ila, and Christine (from the Break Room) are planning on making the trip if we can afford it... Either play on Friday, or just buy in directly... Any idea how many levels they are doing until Sunday, as well as how many (percentage wise) are getting into the Main Event from the Friday Satellite??? Just wondering...

I think last year they did a satellite where the top 20% got in to the main tournament......

No idea who won.

I got 18th place.

Todd Lane got 12th.

Brandon Holmes got 11th.

Well actually I got 13th not 11th. but who cares, it was less than $100 pay difference anyway. How do i go 3 days without getting AA one time sigh...

Hard to play day 2 of this with out ever getting a good hand.

By the way Q, you played great and yes "I am a SEXY beast" and AQ should be your new best friend. Sorry you went out so close to the cash. I did that a few years back when I was 22nd and top 20 got paid for the GLPC

It was nice being on your left all the time except when you flopped the Nut against me you bastard.

Oh and I wonder if the hand where we both laid down big pocket pairs preflop should be discussed. That could be good reading in the strategy section.

For the record: I was 11th. (all the same money so no big deal really) It was curious that 8 of the final 18 were muskegon players that have been facing off against each other for the last 3 years every weekend. Apparently we have been doing something correctly. I only layed down small prs to Q on sunday Razz

BTW. If Q has gray hair next time you see him, ask about the ride home LOL

Clearly I was too despondent after going out to keep track of how everyone else finished. I am however quite positive that I got 18th.

It sucks playing for that long only to be forced to take a coin flip(also to get called on that coin flip by KJ from the other short stack) but it was a really fun event and fun playing at the same tables with you guys. I'm looking forward to next year.

A side note on how I could not lose with AQ, before I went to bed last night I played one 3 table SNG and this happened at the final table:

*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot 4410 | Rake 0
Board [Ks Ts Js Ah 6d]
Seat 1: Slowpoke48 (small blind) folded before Flop
Seat 4: THEL00000000 (big blind) showed [Qc 3h] and lost with a straight, Ten to Ace
Seat 5: bigbillyg111 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 7: redsmurf (button) showed [As Qs] and won (4410) with a Royal Flush

I'm not making this up.

Did you limp the button with As Qs, or did THEL00000000 defend his blind with Qc 3h .....

This does not compute?!?

LOL, I just looked through the hand again, apparently I just smooth called on the button.

Did I mention that I spent the majority of my time after I busted out of the GLPC drinking? It's a bit hazy but now that I'm thinking about it I believe that I misclicked.

I did this too at my last $500 buy in tournament. Only I started drinking well before the tourney started. I make good decisions.

Congrats to all that finished in the money (or close to). Every year one of us comes close to the big prize, but I don't think anyone from grampa has finished in the top 9 yet. But there's always next year!

I would be interested in reading about some of the bigger hands that you all played in, if you feel like sharing.
