New date for the TPC: December 12th. Confirmed with Pokerdad for use of the Allendale facilities.

As always the inaugural teams get the first 5 spots. If you have a 4 player team and want to lock your place contact me at purple_duckk@hotmail.com. I'm looking forward to this event again and I hope we get a full 10 teams for what is always a fun day of poker!

Structure stays the same and is as follows:

Date: Saturday, December 12th, 2009
Time: Cards will hit the felt at 10am
Events: LHE, PLO, Stud, NLHE
Players: 4 per team
Teams: Up to 10 (homegame, club, etc affliation preferred)
Entry Fee: $400 per team. Payment arrangements to be made with T. Love aka purple_duckk (purple_duckk@hotmail.com)
Format: Each team will be separated and randomly seated with 1 member from every other team. Points are awarded based on individual performances in each event and added to the team total. Seats will be redrawn after each round. Each player will participate in all 4 events.

Point Structure:
10th - 1pt
9th - 2pts
8th - 3pts
7th - 4pts
6th - 5pts
5th - 6pts
4th - 8pts
3rd - 10pts
2nd - 12pts
1st - 15pts

Payouts (dollar amounts assume 10 teams):
NLHE Winners - 15% (3.75% each) - $600 or $150 each
MVP - 7% - $280
First Place Team - 50% (12.5% each) - $2000 or $500 each
Second Place Team - 28% (7% each) - $1120 or $280 each
A legacy trophy is also awarded with the winning team's names engraved.

December is probably a bad month for this tournament. Being so close to the holidays it's going to be both a scheduling and financial problem for a lot of players. It's looking like my team may have some problems as well.

I personally think we should look to reschedule. I hate for this tournament to be the tournament that always just keeps getting postponed and never happens but I also think if we set a solid date in February or March then that would increase the turnout and allow this tournament to be as fun as it was the last 2 years.

Just my thoughts.

Q i agree with you. Team F-bomb will not be able to make a December date to many family holiday commitments. I like February usually a crappy boring month. Will at least give us somethin to look forward too.

We should try having a set date every year, this way people will know way ahead of time and can make arrangements to be able to make it to play! Just my $2 Bills worth! lol

Sorry guys, I wasn't aware anyone was posting in this thread. Yeah, as of right now nobody has confirmed a team with me so we can once again cancel and look for a date after the holidays that works for more people. Being that I have no family, responsibilities or life to speak of I'm pretty open to dates. It also makes me a bad date picker (as my choosing 2 weeks before Christmas would indicate) so throw out a few dates and I'll work on getting everything together for the times that works for the most people.

Also, I like ham.

Once I get my surgery scheduled, I will post some dates in February, first of March that you guys can vote on, as far as availability of the poker barn.

How about March 27th? That gives us 7 weeks to assemble teams with adequate notice. Weather will be a bit better, and I will be off restrictions then.

Not sure who is taking money for this, etc. But I really need to know number of confirmed teams, games that are to be played etc. by March 15th so I can either have the poker barn set up or the basement ready.

I was just about to post that Team Dead Money, while late to this thread is 3/4 confirmed. Well, I guess I'm still posting that but right afte a team withdrawl. Does everyone think we can get 4-5 more teams in the next 2 weeks? I would love to do it on the 27th if we can. I'll try to gather a team from the people I know on the east side of the state too.

I think it's definately a real possibility that we can fill up with 10 teams at the very least I think we'll have around 8 or so. I'll send an email out on my mailing list inviting people to put together teams. To clear the confussion up a little bit I'm going to start a new thread.
