7pm - $10 tournament with optional $10 side bet.

9pm - .50 - $1 cash game

We play NL Hold'em except on the third Thursday of every month we will be playing PL Omaha Hi for the tournament and the cash game.

Midnight Tournament Schedule

1st Thursday - $20 Tournament: NL Hold'em 20 minute blinds.

2nd Thursday - Bounty Tournament: $20, NL Hold'em $15 goes into the prize pool and all players have a $5 bounty on them. In other words for every player you take you you get $5.

3rd Thursday - $25 Tournament: NL Hold'em 20 minute blinds.

4th Thursday - Mystery Flavor Tournament: Only if there are 5 Thursdays in a month.

Last Thursday - Rebuy Tournament: $10 gets you 400 in chips and at any time in the first hour that you are at or below 400 in chips you may purchase 400 more in chips for $5. Players may double rebuy for $10 and get 800 chips, or start with 800 chips for $15. 20 minute blinds for the first hour, 15 minute blinds after that.

Tonight we're going to try out a mixed game for our midnight tournament since satellite time is over.

We'll be playing N.O.P.S.L. (No Limit Hold'em, Omaha, Pot Limit Hold'em, Seven Card Stud, Limit Hold'em). $20 1500 chips with 15 minute blinds, game changes every level.

How did the mixed format work out last night? (10-5-06) I work for a living or I would be there! Any way it sounded like a blast....esspecialy for short attention sufferers like myself.

It worked rather well, we had 17 players for the tournament. There were some problems as a lot of players had never played real Stud before and we had to explain the bring-in bet, and structure, but we paused the clock and everything went smoothly after that.

We did have a couple problems with the blind structure which should be expected as this is the first mixed game and stud game we've ever run. We made some on the fly changes but everything smoothed itself out and it should run on autopilot next month.

I still have to talk to Greg to see what he thought as I lasted a smidgin longer than him, finishing 6th to his 7th and he had gone to bed.

Actually it will be the Rebuy tournament.

We've changed the format back to what it used to be which is 400 chips to start for $10 and $5 rebuys for 300 chips each.

These prize pools were much bigger than the the $10 rebuys and we're going back at the request of the players.

The holidays will not disrupt our poker schedule. We will be playing tonight in full holiday spirit, which means we'll be drinking heavily as none of us have to work in the morning.

The midnight tournament is the standard $25 NL tournament with 20 minute blinds.

The Thursday game will be on tomorrow. It will be our $10 tournament with $5 rebuys. This tournament almost always has a bigger prize pool than our $25 tournament.

Last week we had two almost full cash game tables and a 14 player midnight tournament.

We've been having a full or nearly full table for cash games as of late. Last week we had 21 players for the midnight rebuy tournament. $210 for first off of a $10 buy in with $5 rebuys.

The game in general has been good. We've actually been having two cash games tables on and off sporadically.

I've taken NOPSL off the menu for the time being since it seems that all the players who show up at midnight don't want to play it. Maybe it can be added back in at a later date.

Because of events that transpired last Thursday, I am implementing some new rules for Thursday night.

1) No more glass bottles, We've had some spills and a certain someone smashing bottles in our driveway so please only bring cans or plastic bottles.

2) No getting drunk. I don't mind people drinking and have a good time, that's what we are here to do. But please don't be at the bar for 4 hours and then show up for the tournament. This rule has to be put in place because of one piece of crap, but I have to enforce it for everyone, so no more getting hammered.

3) I love people bringing new people to the game and I encourage it. However I am going to start holding the inviter's responsible for any guests they bring over. If you feel your guests are getting out of control, it is your responsibility to neutralize the situation, or I will ask you and your guests to leave.

Again... I hate doing this because almost everyone has been a class act. These new rules are meant to minimize the number of events that distract from the game. (I'm sorry for interrupting Table One's play to set someone straight.) Thank you and I hope to see you all next Thursday.

We had 15 players for the 7pm event, which is pretty amazing seeing as how 6 players from 2 weeks ago didn't show up last night!

I would love to make this a 3 table tournament, that would be totally groovy!

PS - Quentin.. I hear lvl60 of wedding stuff is as far as you can go. At lvl60, you get shmex!

PPS - this usually only happens once.. then ownership of balls is transfered resulting in mowing of the lawn, trimming the hedges, marriage counseling, arguing over expenses, sleeping on the couch, and the occasional mercy -beep- Very Happy

I can't wait till i hit lvl60.......

But, when you sit down and are probably only going to see 20-25 hands before the game ends it's hard to let go what is likely to be your best hand all night. I just thought it was funny that Tony was completely oblivious that I was joking.

This game is still running strong every Thursday.

We love Omaha and we've had such a great response every time we run an Omaha game so starting this Thursday (August 21st) we will now be playing Pot Limit Omaha Hi instead of Hold'em every 3rd Thursday of the month. This will be for both the tournament and the cash game.

We will be up and running again this coming Thursday at 7:00 again and looking forward to it. I posted this elsewhere, but, we are looking to perhaps have a club format with points, different games, etc. We've bee running two tournaments prior to cash games, but have enough room to run cash games and another tournament if enough players. As always we don't take a rake on any game. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
