I love the GSOP! Any word on some tournaments this summer?

I don't think we are doing a full blown GSOP this year. We are thinking about doing a couple of events in the fall.

We are planning to have some sort of GSOP 09. Some games were not well attended and therefore may not be included. Because of the busy summers, we thought a late summer, early fall might fit all scehdules best. And, as we are not a charity run group and I do not take a rake, (for legal reasons), it is a bit easier on the air conditioning bill. Any suggestions and inquiries are welcome.

Stud we would be lucky to get 20 players. Limit I believe we had less than 30 players last year. Sad

One suggestion I have is to try to avoid fall Saturday dates on which U of M or MSU have home games. Sundays actually may be best to avoid football conflicts (even televised) though there may be other conflicts on that day. Maybe you should consider Friday night (knowing full well that for the successful players it will be very very late).

Thoughts to maybe increase attendance.

Yeah, don't do Sundays. I returned some pop cans the other day and they gave me 4 season tickets to the Detroit Lions. Valued at ~$3.50.

I want to come out this summer/fall. I know it's a bit away, but is there someone want to offer their services as a driver? In compensation, I won't suck out on you more than 3 times a night.

We are still working on a GSOP for this year. We thought we had a better venue with easy parking, but that hasn't worked out just yet.
