I'm going to start running a small buy-in tournament on PokerStars for players of this forum to participate in if they want every Wednesday at 8.

No Limit Hold 'Em.

Password will be "grampa"

Just something to donk around, I'm thinking $10 buy in, but will be receptive to suggestions.

I like it. This Wednesday is the only one I won't be able to play in because my summer bowling league will be finishing up but I'm in for the following weeks.

I'll jump in there if I'm around. Should be fun.

You could take a poll on what the buy-in could be and I'd go with the majority. Or you could vary it, too.

I would agree to take a poll. I'm sure if its just for fun you'll find it will be between $10 to $20.

Sounds like fun, will play when I can. Any stakes are fine.

Poll added. Capped at $20. I don't want it to be too much because I don't want to exclude anyone and I understand that people are working with limited and occasionally difficult to replenish online rolls.

But I want it to be enough so that people care enough to show up.

I'll play you heads up for $200 Bruce. Actually this is a joke. I don't even have the bank roll to play Ben heads up for $200 a pop let alone you.

In a side note I played two heads up matches last night for $5 +.50 on starts. The first one went 1 hand. I had A3 and raised. The other guy called. The flop came J 3 3 and he had a J. Game over. The second one went about 15 hands. I steamrolled a guy. Then he went into push on the flop mode so I backed off until I got a favorable hand. I ended flopping the nut flush and checked it to him. As expected he pushed and I had him covered and the game was over.

I might have to stick to some HU play it is going to be that consistently horrible.

I have been playing more and more HU SnGs on Stars for practice as well. My HU game needs a little work and I enjoy the turbos since they are over fairly quickly.

Spike, I'll play you in some HU turbos if you want, just for the fun of it - whatever stakes you normally play, though I prefer the turbos.

Or for anyone else who is interested - might be fun and I would enjoy going through and sharing the hand history later. Anyone up for it?

I'd be up for it. I usually stick to the $5 stakes because that is what I can beat. I'd be ok with getting my arse kicked by a $100 HU player for $5 a game though. The only way you get better is by playing people who are better.

I voted for $20 but it appears that you'll probably get more people to play if you keep it at $10. I'd still play at $5 but you just won't be able to count on me for solid play at $5. I'll be all over the place. Wait.... who am I kidding I'll be a donk at any level.

I actually voted for $10 because I thought we would get more people that way. It would just be fun to play, post hands for discussion, etc. I know we have tried to do this in the past. Plus there will always be side betting and HU4ROLZ declarations made as well.

Spike, will send you a PM later today and we can set something up. It will be fun practice and you can post a few hands berating my play along the way as well Cool My HU game is not too strong - you know it's pretty bad if I managed to lose to Bruce heads-up in a tourney.

Oh, bummer Dave. I may eventually do that if the turnout is poor on Wednesdays.

I forgot that I had plans to go to the Old 97's show at the Intersection tonight, so I won't be playing.

However, in an effort to get this thing going I will be staking players who don't have money on PokerStars or who just feel like playing on a stake for this.

If you agree to 50/50 plus ship back and want a stake post your PokerStars SN itt or PM it to me by 6 and I'll ship the buy-in.

Sorry for the late notice on this.

Scame. I guess E-money and Q missed my stake offers. I'm pretty sure they'd have pwned this.

Oh well, I'll create another and bump this next week.

Plus I guess I'll try to play in that one too Embarassed Embarassed
